Either Raffy is getting a bit incontinent or he’s trying to tell me something. He has been peeing on the back left shelf right next to the flower basket ………

He still uses his toilet as well - but why pee there?! Maybe he really does want me to remove the flower basket!

Sounds like a protest pee.

Remember Clarissa peeing on the bigger wheel i gave her? She hated it. I put her small wheel back in and she pee'ed in her toilet again.

I'd move the flower basket or take it out.

I think I’ll avoid hanging things in that corner. He’s already yanked the other hanging thing down. Looking at the clean break at the top I reckon he climbed up it and bit through it!

Maybe he thinks the flower basket is a toilet as it’s in a corner - but it’s too uncomfortable to sit in so he pees next to it. I think I’ll put another toilet in that corner! Actually no he’ll just kick sand out through the bars.

It looks fun ha ha. Assume it’s all safe to chew. Raffy doesn’t chew his hanging chew stick any more either. I think I need to try and add a few more things to his cage. Before he moved cages he had started peeing in his coconut hut (that was in a corner too !).

That's exactly what Henry did with the garland. He climbed up and bit through the string on both sides. Same as Raffy did. He took the flower basket down because he doesn't like it. I don't think he wants that corner as a toilet. Maybe the basket annoyed him because it's not edible. I'd put a homemade cardboard toy there with food stuck to it.

I think it is safe to chew tho. Rosewood are pretty good I think.

But maybe just remove everything from corner & see what he does! x

I wonder why Raffy pee'ed in the coconut though. That would have nothing to do with the flower basket. Maybe he wants two toilets. One inside his house and one outside unless he has those already?

A sand bath / toilet while he's out?

We've been away for a week, and as soon as Raffy heard me back in the house he was looking to come out. He didn't seem the slightest bit interested in me but had a casual saunter round the room free roaming - he seemed quite laid back really. Maybe he remembers this happening this time last year and he knew we'd be back. He knew anyway because I told him!

Did the pet sitter see him this time or did he stay out of sight again?

He stayed out of sight. She didn't see him at all. Mind you it's more like he was asleep than out of sight. He just doesn't wake up before 9pm and she was feeding earlier. She saw Pip the first night and said he looked at her and ran away and she didn't see him again after that.

Yes, of course, i forgot that she would have fed them earlier.

He must have known someone else had put the food out though, as their scent would be different.
