Rafferty the roborovski ca.e from a small local rescue. He initially lived in the St elmo xxl which is about 100 x 40cm and quite short.

Now that he Is getting older I have moved him into the hamster heaven.

He loves it! He comes out every morning for his food and greens.

During a recent half cage clean I discovered a million tons of hamster food stored all over the cage. Oops. Time to reduce his rations, although I want him to have the fun of foraging.

I have had six hamsters at one before so having just the one is really easy.

He is so cute and tiny.

Aw it is cute how they love to stash away food. Do you have any pictures of him?

Lol! The smaller the hamster the bigger the hoard. I think a Robo's ambition in life is to hoard a life time's worth of food.

Glad he loves the Hamster Heaven :-). It has that big front door too :-). I have a Raffy (short for Raphael) but think I like the name Rafferty better! It’s a great name. How old is Rafferty?

Hi Rainbow I did have some pics, think they are on my tablet. Will look them out.

Beryl, he is a real storage expert the whole front of the cage was carpeted in food, quite amazing.

Not sure how old he is Maz. He came from a small local rescue. I reckon he is at least two.

He could go on for years :) Hard to tell with Robos.

Managed to take some pics this morning when he came out for he brekky. Ah they are too big ... The forum accepts uploads of up to 1mb. Most photos are 6 or 7 mb so need the file size reducing a bit.

If you're on computer/Windows you can resize them in "Paint" very easily!

Thank you. I will look into these suggestions when I have a daytime brain!

It took me ages before I could upload pictures to that site. I was unable to do it any other way too!

I have not even tried as it just seems too complicated!

My son is coming for a visit soon so I will ask him. He knows a thing or ten about i.t.

I am not great at doing photo things on phones - my eyesight as much as anything! It's fairly easy on a laptop though if you have Windows. Paint is built into Windows and it takes seconds to resize a photo.

I can resize it if you want to email it :) Just click on "Contact us" at the bottom and it sends an email to the forum email address.

I have an android phone but can't remember for how long i've had it. My photos appear in the gallery and then i click on a pen icon to adjust and resize them. On here i click on the attach files which takes me to the gallery where i can click on the photo i want. Then insert as either thumbnail or full.

I think my phone must be very user friendly because i don't know how to do anything complicated. It's a Samsung A12 i think.

I tried the contact us thing but there didnt seem to be any way of adding photos ...

Ah ok. Just email me on gmail then :)

Sorry to say that dear little Rafferty passed away in his sleep on Saturday night. He had been showing signs of aging for sometime so I wasn't surprised.

He came from a rescue so I don't know how old he was. Bless him. RIP Rafferty.

Oh I am so very sorry to hear this Tulsi. I know how precious he was to you. I am very sorry for your loss.
