Hi! New user here. I confess I am not here due to a love of hamsters, but purely because I'm curious about the impact of the OSA. The Hamster Forum shutting down was widely reported, but it seems it's still here - what happened with this in the end? Did you find a way to stay online permanently without legal repercussions?

Hi. It was closed down/offline for about two months but during that time, with a lot of help, a lot of hard work, some money, and some new software (which was a bit of a breakthrough) it was possible to comply with the act and re-open again. But it was a massive amount of work for weeks.

The site reopened again on 17th May and people are gradually rejoining Our running costs are higher now and the annual donations request is currently open, so feel free to make a donation if you like!
