I’ve noticed a few hamster items made from 3d printing recently. And in fact have just ordered one. Essentially they are plastic . The PLA items are non toxic and safe for hamsters. However I think some caution could be needed if a hamster is likely to chew at them as it could be brittle and break pieces off (ie hard or sharp points). So if it’s for a hamster who chews everything then maybe not. But I find most hamsters don’t chew hard plastic (eg haven’t heard of a hamster chewing an acrylic niteangel wheel). Just as they don’t try and chew ceramic. Some have chewed softer plastic litter trays for example or wood wheels.
3d printed items can be made from other materials as well so always best to check what it’s made of. PLA and PETG are ok but not some others.
I have just sent for this from Etsy - it looks such a nice shape so it’s part forage box and also part hide! For Tino for a forage/dig box now he’s not using his wheel.
It comes in various colours
