So I have a joyous (not) paperwork job to do in about 4 weeks time ................. second year's risk assessment and child risk assessment for the online safety act. Now it should have been easier this year as nothing really has changed since last year, so just a review and minor updates. However, no - they have introduced two new illegal harms and another 9 categories on something else and a new general category. So it's going to mean doing a new risk assessment document.

This is basically like the worst exam paper you have ever encountered 😂 . Seriously- the amount of reading and cross-referencing to be able to complete all the zillions of answer boxes. As I say most of it will be the same (but still needs organising on a new form), but it's the amount of reading and working out and cross referencing.

So no change on here - everything just the same - nothing that isn't already covered. I may rant a few times in May .............................. On the positive side, it's now almost 11 months since the forum re-opened after closing down for a short time due to the OSA. And already we are back up to 735 members :-) We had 850 members when it went offline. So reckon it'll be close to that again in another month.

Thank you Maz, such alot o work...I wish I could help.
The forum has helped me so much, I would have had no one else to ask and seek help (except google, but I dont trust him):D

You do do an amazing job,I have recommended the forum to others ,but notice that they are yet to join,if they ever will. Such a shame that you don't have more members ,some of the Facebook groups can be a bit much .But thankfully I only joined them to help others with measured advice and not dare ask for advice myself lol

Thanks all :-) That is very kind to offer help Amy and I wish I could have others do some of it, but it's not really possible as I'm the one responsible. Unless you happen to be a compliance lawyer? 😂 . Mostly it is just time consuming, mind numbingly tedious, and unpleasant having to read about horrible things and think about them! There's a kind of satisfaction at the end that you are keeping to the law though :-)

Thanks Yorkie :-) Yes different people prefer different platforms sometimes. They don't know the fun they are missing though 😂

No unfortunately not a compliance lawyer 😅 but I have to do a very similar paperwork once a year for the company I work for. Over 240 pages of intense reading and looking up certain terms and regulations (in German)
I dread it every year, but we need it for our annual certification 🙄 so you have my full sympathy, I know how exasperating it can be.

It is but you should see some of the grim stuff I have to read about! Far too much detail.
