There is not enough space for me to get in too. When I shared the playpen with him yesterday, he avoided going near me at all costs. I had my hand flat on the floor with seeds in and every time he came close to it he would run away. As long as he is happy it is fine. This is 90cm at the widest point so not big enough but will do for now. That was quick! Maybe when he's got used to it, you could get in with him and have less items in there so he climbs over you![]()
He avoided my whole body yesterday which I was surprised about. I know that playpen is small but do not worry I am getting something bigger as soon as possible. I do not want him to be bored. He might do if there's less spaceHe'd have no option! And then would just start to see you as part of the furniture. He may avoid hands but I find bizarrely they find legs and feet just like climbing objects. Then they get used to you. Maybe not straight away but it could be worth thinking about
He will probably get bored quite quickly after 2 or 3 sesssions in there. The idea being it's a step towards stroking or handling - when they get used to crawling on you. Our first robo ran up my trouser leg lol!
I bet he really enjoyed his escape!
I am so very lucky he kept coming back to the playpen because I do not know how I would have managed to capture him otherwise. He really loved his escape. I do not think I have ever seen him look so happy! How funny that he kept coming back into the playpen! Maybe he liked getting through the hole and escaping but then wanted to come back to his wheel! Now Raffy is free roaming - he still spends quite a bit of time under the coffee table (where his playpen used to be around) on his wheel.
Good to hearHe sure did! Im fine now. Once he was safely in his cage I got over my shock.![]()
He went into his ball pit playpen today and was disappointed to see he could not escape. He loved his taste of freedom.Great video, Orko looks so happy. Fabulous he also comes out to play now. Our playpen is only small, I did try sitting in it once but took up too much space, Hams looked unimpressed. I’m sure Orko will get more used to you placing your hands in and out when he’s in it and in time he’ll take the seeds from your palm.
