Orko was very busy last night but he mainly spent time on his wheel. I think he needs time to adjust to the new layout as it is a big change for him. Strangely he took bedding into his wheel a few times. I wonder if that was a comfort thing.

He looks as though he’s enjoying himself & seems totally unfazed by the change, who knows about the bedding in the wheel, maybe he was trying to decide where to put it & had a run while he thought about it!

It is impossible to figure hamsters out so best not to overthink things....which is probably what i'm doing with Davy.

Thank you Coco. He looks really happy today. He has been out three times.

Orko came out at 8. It was a bit dark as my partner is ill so we have not been turning on the light. I thought I would try him in the playpen.

He was enjoying the wheel and after about 10 minutes I encouraged him into his taxi which he ignored. He ended up spending 25 minutes in the playpen! He showed no interest in going in the taxi and each time he stepped in it he stepped out right away. I hope he had a nice time and was just not wary of the taxi as he knows he will be lifted up.

I could not film as it is too dark.

Not right away. He goes in his wheel, walks about and checks it out. He is cautious of it but I put a treat in to encourage him.

I was so surprised and kept worrying he may want to go back but did not understand to go in his taxi. It was lovely to see him enjoy his first wheel again.

I think they usually let you know somehow when they want to go back. Either sit in a corner looking bored or climbing back into the thing they associate with their cage (ie the taxi).

I was in the kitchen getting Orkos breakfast and he came out looking for it. He is funny because I was only a minute but he did not come back out to eat it for another two hours.
