Not enough bedding!

My parents won't let me put more than 1-3 inches of bedding in my hamsters cage even though we have plenty of bedding available, my hamster is showing obvious signs of stress towards this. How do I convince them to let me put more.

Sorry to hear that! They are probably a) thinking it will be easier to clean so there's less to throw away and b) trying to save bedding costs. Would it help to show them this article about bedding and cage cleaning tips? Basically the more bedding you have in, the less you go through in the long run s you just "spot clean" the pee.

I've had my hamster for 3 months, she is a Syrian hamster. I talked to my parents, and I think I will be able to put more bedding, thank you again.
