My baby Bernard (male long-haired Syrian) weighs approximately 149g as of today! He was 138g when we took him to the vet almost a month ago, and they estimated he was about 75% of the way to fully grown. Does this forum have a guide to hammy weights?
There is no clear guide to hammy weights, because they come in all sizes! Big ones, little ones, and in between ones. You can get very small Syrians and very large ones. I would say average weight for a fully grown medium Syrian is between 150 and 180g. Some can be as much as 220g or even 270g. The smallest no more than 120g. How old is he now? They are technically fully grown at about 6 months old but can keep growing a bit until 9 months.
