What species is your hamster please? Is the a russian dwarf or a syrian? Many hamsters really don't like a hand in the cage, and it's possible she may have had a bad experience with hands in the past and sees them as a threat. Generally though, Syrians ARE territorial in their cage (perhaps females more than males) and don't like a hand in the cage. You could try socialising her out of the cage, in a safe area, as they behave completely differently out of the cage than in it. Then when you've socialised her that way, she will have built a degree of trust and bond and may not react so badly to a hand in the cage. Or it might not even be necessary to have a hand in the cage while she's in it, if she comes out willingly.
