New to the forum!

When my daughters were children we had many hamsters. We purchased them from pet stores because we did not know any better. All of our hammies were long lived and healthy. Almost all of them lived to 2.5 years or so. Fast forward many years and I am now 62. One of my daughters and I just got another hamster, a beautiful black and white little girl named Harley. We bought a vista cage for her to give her lots of room. We’re very excited to be starting our hamster journey again.

Hi. Thank u for everybody’s welcome to the forum. Is it ok to sprinkle Harley’s food throughout her cage to encourage some enrichment? I’m worried that she wont find it with all the bedding she has.

Yes it's fine If you're worried you could put half in a food bowl and sprinkle the other half Syrians have a tablespoonful a day so easy work out half
