I'm so sorry the adoption didn't work out. I know how disappointing that is, especially when you've already started picking out names etc. Hopefully another hamster needing a home will come along soon.

Sometimes they come up on sites like preloved not exactly as rescues but obviously not loved and the cages included are awful so probably in need of a good home as much as one from a rescue center could be worth checking out

Thanks - I did all that but nothing in my area. Not much at all actually even at a distance. Some of the ads don't get taken down when the hamster is gone also - it's a tedious way to find a hamster! This one for example, just changed their mind at the last minute.

Unfortunately they don't bother to put sold and some have been on over 2 months also the change of mind makes me wonder if a child got upset when the parent wanted to rehome the hamster so they relented at the last minute. I'm sure you will find one who needs you eventually.

I thought that too Jain. He did say child doesn't want to let him go now. Advert said child no longer interested. So it is quite possible the child suddenly decided he wanted to keep the hamster - which is understandable.

Adults should always be Involved with pet care and share pet keeping unless the child is really motivated and responsible.
