I found these fotos on my computer at work… I lost all of my fotos last year due to a fire. Bonnie was my last horse, my soulmate 🥰 I loved her so much, when she passed I was sick for months.
My two kitties Bruce and Shiny were rescued. Both the most adorable cats ever ❤️ Bruce died three years ago (my vet assumed he had eaten poison) Shiny died this year and it broke my heart. ❤️ that’s when Nibbles moved in and he’s healed my wounded soul 🥰 my mum says he’s a gift from god 🙏 the fotos are poor quality, but still lovely.

How lovely, I think it's great looking back at our wonderful companions. They gave us so much in our lives so they shouldn't be forgotten! I'm always looking at old photos and videos of the pets that have touched my life... can't beat it 🥰💖💕 Ness

Your horse was so beautiful. Losing her must have been very hard. Your cat is lovely 🥰
When I lost Bonnie I was broken hearted 💔
I lost 22 kilos couldn’t eat, couldn’t sleep. I bought her when she was only 3 years old off my friend who didn’t get on with her.
I broke her in, trained her and we were soulmates ❤️ she got very sick at the age of ten, she had botulism's (Botulism is a rare but life-threatening illness caused by a potent neurotoxin produced by Clostridium botulinum bacteria. It attacks the nervous system, causing muscle paralysis, difficulty breathing, and potentially death. Immediate medical attention is required.)
She needed to be tube fed for six weeks in the clinic, it was awful.
She never fully recovered and died at the age of 14 😢

I managed to get hold of the antidot for her, it cost 500,- euros
she is one of the few horses to survive this awful bacterium.
After she recovered she saved two other horses lives by donating blood. It was a complete experiment but worked. Luckily the clinic was just round the corner and she loved driving.
I stayed in contact with one of the horses owners for years. They were so grateful and used to send us regular sweet gifts and cards 🫶

I am so sorry you lost all your photos in a fire. It is the irreplaceable things like that, that must be so tough. And I'm so glad you found some on a work computer. Your horse was really beautiful - very hard to lose and the story of her giving blood to help other horses is heart warming. Your cats were lovely too - was one of them a Russian blue? I don't know much about cat breeds, but one has a look.

And yes very funny the photo of the cat being bigger than the dog :-) It must have been either an extremely large cat or an extremely small dog :-)

Hamsters have a wonderful way of healing with their cheeky little personalities, contrariness, their expressions, their activities and their sensitivity - I do believe they tune into an owners feelings, when they get to know you, just like any other pet. They can make us laugh and smile and bring joy. I'm glad Nibbles is a joy and comfort for you :-)

In her picture she has a very contented, intelligent expression 🥰
She was so intelligent everyone said she could read and write 😅 one my friend wanted to surprise me with English fish and chips ( we had the army barracks just next to the stables). She hung them in front of my stable as I was just finishing giving a lesson. I was so hungry and so looking forward to my fish and chips…. They were gone! Bonnie managed to stretch her neck grab them and pull them into her stable. She ate them all! With salt and vinegar! I was so worried, but she digested them perfectly 🥴
She could drink beer out of a bottle (a very occasional beer doesn’t harm them) and let my dog ride on her back 🥰

That’s so true, Nibbles is tiny but he really helped me over Shinys death ❤️ the cats were both British short hair, they are very similar to Russian blue. Bruce had the blue colour, shiny was grey tabby. Yes it’s so hard to lose the sentimental things, but at least there are some on my computer. Although I am old school with fotos, I like to hold them 😅🫶

I managed to rescue two books, one foto book and my yoga bible.
Heard a foto of Katie my dog 😢 riding Bonnie in the stable, don’t ask me how she got up there, I guess Bonnie was sleeping and lying down.

I don't think you ever get over something like that, you just learn to live with the pain! 🫶🙏Ness

That’s true, but also time heals wounds. I think it’s the rituals that keep reminding you of the loss and cause the pain. I used to get up every morning grab a coffee and my dog and go to the stables before work. My dog was allowed in the office and could also shower there. After work I drove straight back to the horses and stayed there until late. When Bonnie was gone I was lost.
Today I can look at the fotos without tears falling ❤️
