I ordered another blind for the small kitchen window, it’s being delivered tomorrow my neighbour has printed the return label for me and I can give it to the delivery (which happens to be the same as the ac) and it will be gone I hope it works out

I just took a quick foto for you. These blinds are for indoors actually, but outdoors they protect the windows from the direct sun, which I have here from mornings until late afternoons. They are very good quality and cheap. They smell lovely (bamboo not plastic) and give a brilliant atmosphere when the sun shines. You can buy them on Amazon.
I hung them on these fantastic adhesive hooks.
You can get them in different colours, light brown dart brown and this colour.

I have a rather silly question. Nibbles is in the kitchen in his open playpen, every now and then I roams in the kitchen or comes into the front to see me. Can I watch tv if I put the volume on low? I don’t want to disturb him, but I can’t read in this dim light or paint etc

Yes you can watch TV The only thing is make sure you keep an eye on him as well as when we're absorbed in something, they seem to get into mischief!

Thanks Maz someone told me that hamsters freak out when you put the tv on. He didn’t mind, he’s been in his wheel I watched a film about Ireland

Robin loves TV,I find that most Syrians don't freak out and are actually fascinated by it. They are such curious little beings ,you don't need to worry too much. In fact ,I think.Robin.woukd die of boredom of she wasn't in the living room lol I will attach a pic of my previous hammy watching TV

He watched tv with me until half past one then toddled off to the kitchen to have another spin in his wheel it’s 3.45 now and we are both finally in bed
He loves being out so much, he won’t go back in his cage. Ah well it’s weekend so I thought i would go along with it they are such good company aren’t they?

Such a sweet discussion, little TV fans. They are so cute looking at the TV. Makes me think perhaps I should get a TV and see if the piggies are interested in watching it

Nibbles lost interest after a while and was more interested in trying to climb into my watering can and the basket with knitted pumpkins. He was only shortly on the settee as he scragged the cushions and tried to burrow holes
He was a bit mischievous last night and refused to get out of his wheel until 3.30 am
The trick with stealing his wheel worked so well, until clever little Nibbles sussed it out and now just glues himself in there and refuses to leave
I will have to think of a new solution hoping this attitude is just due to his age (7 months) and that he will eventually not need 5 hours of workout and entertainment every night.

I have come up with an emergency solution in case he carries on with his demonstration of not leaving the playpen at midnight (lastest) during the week.
I have DIY ed a bottom on his playpen mch and cut cardboard into squares to catch the pee (as you can see on the template it works) the chamber is filled with bedding and his hoard. So I can leave him in the playpen and in case he gets tired he has his house. When I get up at five he will willingly go back into his cage, as he will be tired.
I have had to use this solution once before, as there was nothing I could do to get him back in the cage (he hops on the wheel and runs like the devil as he knows I can’t get him then).
I hope he stops his antics and willingly comes out at midnight at least I get my five hours sleep, if not I have an emergency solution.
And no he won’t try to climb out of the playpen, he loves it in there! He has all he needs, a wheel, water, food, a mch two hideouts and toys.
He just can’t burrow, but it is only a temporary sleeping spot.
I have prepared the house and cardboard pee mats
