Mr Nibbles Diary

So finally Amazon have sent me a message canceling both my mums and my AC! Cannot be delivered not even in the distant future!
The worst thing is: they have forecasted a terrible heatwave for the beginning of August with up to 41 degrees 🫣 I know you cannot trust the weather forecast but this has been predicted on all channels also the news.
So I scanned the German shops today and found a slightly more powerful AC 679,- euros that’s another 179,- more than the previous one.
I ordered it and it’s supposed to arrive in 2 - 3 days.
I asked my mum if I should order one for her as there were not many left. My mum was not sure and waited to long, now it cost 949,- euros just 4 hours later!
I have ordered it from a well known Germany shop and don’t have to pay straight away, they give you four weeks time (so it’s fairly safe).
I rang them and asked how this could happen, they told me: more or less all AC units are sold out and they are having problems producing new ones (economical difficulties). This is shocking. 😮
I hope it gets delivered and worst case I will bring my mum over here.
I would normally never paid that amount, but 41 degrees is dangerously high for Nibbles and I couldn’t forgive myself if I didn’t try my uttermost best to keep him safe 🥴
Please keep your fingers crossed for us that this time the AC arrives 🙏 🫶

It's grim 😔 Yes, people with pets, older people, people who are unwell are struggling in the constant heat waves. I am hoping that as the days are shorter the next heat wave will be more manageable. I have a week off that I have postponed and will be watching the weather report. But I am hoping it will max at 30C for short spells and be cooler for longer during the day 🙏❤️ Of course Europe might get hotter than here 🙁 The AC is well worth getting though, they really are life savers 🥺

That weather report makes for very worrying reading 🥺 It might be necessary to stop Nibbles digging so deep for a few days, at least during the hottest hours 🙁

The hammy's instinct is to burrow down to escape but it might make things worse in a cage 🙁
Actually last time it was the coolest down there as I have the ice packs underneath and the bottle against the aluminium side panels. That was what worried me but I put my hand down there and it was lovely and cool. That was the day I woke him up because I panicked. Anyhow the AC should be here by then, I already have received a tracking number 🙏
This is the foto when I woke him up in the last awful heatwave 😅
He was as fit as a fiddle ❤️

I also ordered a water filter because the water here has so much lime in it, it destroys kettles in months!
I used to have a Britta filter, but I don’t like the plastic container. I have being looking at the Berkeley filter for years (too expensive). The company Vevor, the one who does the replica Bucatstate cages also does at replica of the Berkeley filters.
I orders an eight litre tank with two filters for 74,- euros!
It filters out any bacteria, lime pharmaceutical residues, copper and all shebang 🌺
The water is delicious 😋 I think Nibbles will love it.
I didn’t buy it on Amazon but you can get it there, I will post the link if anyone is interested.
It’s more expensive on Amazon, but still reasonable. I am very pleased with the quality, it’s amazing

Yes I love it 😻 I have been admiring the Berkeley for years, but it’s very expensive. This one is identical
I've always used water filters, I don't trust the water that comes out of the tap? I'm really impressed with that filter. I'll be interested in how you get on with it. 💖🥰 Ness

So far it’s working very well, but it takes a long time to filter the water when you have just set it up as the ceramic filters need to soak up fully. Then it takes one hour to filter one litre.
But the capacity is eight litres so once it’s set up that doesn’t matter 🌺

I hope it works really well, you deserve some good luck🙏💖🥰 Ness

Thank you for the forecast, that is reassuring 😌
It's great that Nibbles has such an in-nest good cooling system 🥰 The AC will be brilliant and create security. Such a great water filter 💦 brilliant ❤️🙏
