Aw, Nibbles, you are making your mum proud

Hi aunty Socks mum
Yes but tonight she tried a mean trick on me like last night! She stole my Ferrari!!! Only this time, I knew what she was up too. I don’t climb in the taxi, duh! I played a bit in my holiday house, ate some treats, took a sand bath, climbed on my house, had a scratch….
Then I demanded a different taxi cause that silly basket tipped over when I was investigating it! So she bought the jug and I climbed in, but I made her wait… cause I am the boss, you know
I am a big boy now, she said tomorrow I will be weighed cause I am bigger and stronger. When I went back to my house mum stroked me on my back, I liked that it tickled tomorrow I might be a good boy, on the other hand, I might let her wait longer but I am getting some new treats from Austria. Strawberry and coconut handmade biscuits, so I better be a good boy for a few days. Big hamster cuddle for you

Well, I've just been catching up with what you've all been doing since Saturday, I must say you've been very busy. My daughter arrived very poorly so I didn't get chance to follow you till now. I love the videos, they are lovely as always. I'm not sure about the free roaming but you know what your doing so that's up to you. I couldn't do free roaming because I live in a 17th century cottage so there's no way I could get a room hammy escape proof! I will keep reading and catch up with What's happening Ness

Oh dear I hope your daughter has recovered give her a big hammy hug. Mum says I can only free roam cause it’s a new flat and no holes or pipes that go in the floor. She said she would rather move in an old English cottage with me any time
I am trying to be a good boy most of the time, but sometimes I have to be a bit of a mischief

When Nibbles wakes up I put his veggies out for him usually around 8 o’clock in the evening. He comes up and starts chattering with his teeth. I thought this was a sign of fear, but couldn’t understand that he comes straight to me and seems happy. Then I read this:

When they are Happy or Relaxed: Also known as bruxing, this is a softer, slower, and more subtle grinding of the teeth. It is a sign of contentment, similar to a cat purring. They will often do this when you are gently petting them or right after waking up in a warm, safe environment.

It reassured me a little and I hope this is the meaning of his chattering. It’s the only sound I have ever heard him make. He never sqeaks or hisses.

Thank you for the hammy hugs, it made my daughter smile , which she hasn't done for a few days thank you. I think that's lovely about the bruxing can't wait to see if teddy gets to do it. It just shows how you can learn something every day! Brilliant Ness

Nibbles is in his playpen very happy with the new wheel, I highly recommend it. It’s great! He has eaten boiled egg for the first time. I got round to cleaning his bed, my hands stink of hamster pee even though I have washed them. the problem is: he doesn’t want to come out way past my bed time

This diary is great for keeping track on things. When he woke up and wanted to come out tonight my nose told me it’s time to clean his bed unfortunately he still pees in his bed and it stinks
Now I know that I will have to keep a regular weekly sniff and. A clean out. It doesn’t seem to bother him at all. When he has a fresh bed he might have a longer lay in the next day. There is almost no hoard down there which surprises me, only the odd seed. I make sure to keep his dry bedding and put it back. I also make the hole where he sleeps. I wish i didn’t have to disturb his nest, but the smell is not a healthy place for him to sleep 🫪
I have washed my hands three times and they still don’t smell of roses

I do hope you daughter recovers soon it’s an awful worry for a mum when children are sick, no matter how old they are
