I have ordered a ceramic corner toilet, it was on offer for 6 euros. It will fit in the mch I will dig it in so he can just easily climb into it. I hope he uses it, he likes to pee in sand but doesn’t feel comfortable coming out during the day. Fingers crossed he will accept his Villeroy & Boch

I also finished a pee out of his sandbath, I am keeping it so I can put it in tomorrow, might be a good hint I am not getting visitors so no one should mistake it for a biscuit

12 x 12 is about the right size for a syrian hamster. The Rodipet ones were lower at the front and higher at the back to avoid splashes. The plastic ones are also higher at the back. It looks like it could work though but might not contain all splashes. I have these currently although still have an old Rodipet one as well. Such a shame they closed down.

Good morning aunty Socks mum I was in my playpen for 2 1/2 hours last night I love it so much! But then my mum was tired and made me go back home and I threw a tantrum, but it didn’t work why won’t she let me stay there? I love the hemp mat and the sand bath in there and all the treats on the floor. And it smells so good
Mum fell to sleep on the floor on my quilt. I sat on the house and watched her sleeping but then she woke up and said: time for bed! I don’t like her to go… I want her to stay with me while I have fun. I ate a boiled egg white too, it’s nice and makes me run even faster. Tonight I will be in my playpen again, can you tell her I need more time than 2 hours? Big hamster hug

Mum isn't the only one who has fallen asleep beside the playpen
I think if you compromise and are up at 8pm Mum will be very pleased to do a 2+ hour play pen. Perhaps 9pm at weekends?
