I bought a mini keyboard inspired by your hand pans. They keys are tiny, so shouldn't cause RSI. It's great for trying to remember bits of musical theory and wandering around scales and chords. It has about 63 keys

Oh that’s great I have never played keyboard but also thought about getting one sometime ago. Then i discovered the handpan.
i bet you will have lots of fun with it music is a great hobby, I get completely lost in it at times, just want to play for an hour and the evening has gone

Now the second wooden ball has vanished! I only found one in the en-suite and that is destroyed. He has taken the second one somewhere and I couldn’t find it. He also stacked a dandelion root, his broccoli and some dried flowers down there, the food was gone. His nest is still dry and nothing stinks any more, that’s a relief but where is the ball?
He had also sat in his water bowl again and splashed around. He must have had a sand bath afterwards and there was sand everywhere he is a bit messy, the kinda guy who leaves his socks on the floor where he takes them off but I love him he’s a cute little stinker

I am a bit concerned as he pulled the cotton string out. It’s hanster safe but it was knotted three times on each end… how on earth!!

I hope you get the string back He is quite an amazing little fellow

Maybe try and get the string back if you can find it What was the string from? Even if it's sisal string, it's best if it's not chewed much.

It’s a cotton string but not thin. But I found it, it was not chewed it must have come undone when he was dragging it into the house. I will attach a foto of the one in the playpen.

Oh well done. Best to avoid things with cotton string actually, even if thick. Just in case they chew it

After a big research in the cage I have not found the second ball and I presume I threw it away accidentally then cleaning the en-suite.
I left him the second ball (minus the string which I luckily found) as I heard him playing with it today.
His toilet is a nightmare to clean as he pees in the corners but he uses it, it could be just a size bigger, it’s always rather full. I have to clean his hoard as there is broccoli bits and all the empty seeds together with a bit of kicked out sand. But I put fresh food down and a treat. He seems to be happy about this, last night he went early in the house after his playpen. It doesn’t smell in there since he has had the en-suite and it’s quite clear he feels so much more comfortable in there. The wheel in his cage is only used for a last quick sprint

He came out this morning at 5:30 to see what was going on (I had to get up for work)
He sat in front of his house, I said good morning, he grabbed a treat and went to bed
I like to think he came to say good morning, the truth is he stood there like a Karen, his expression was more like: what the heck is going on at this time of the day

That second ball will turn up but probably not for a very long time! Ie not till there’s a point wheh you need to take all the bedding out in a certain area.

There may be a metal washer somewhere in Higgins cage that I still haven’t found - it fell in while I was trying to fix a wheel in - still haven’t found it. It won’t do any harm as it’s just a circle of metal with a very small hole on the middle and I doubt Higgins would be interested even if he found it. I have cleaned that area a few times but still haven’t found it! Although it’s possible it fell down the back of the cage rather than inside but a good look round there didn’t produce results either.
