Meet my robos

So I had a frightening experience this morning with Bobby. I gave him his meds , wrapped up in a flannel , and had a cuddle , then he wriggled and squeaked , so I put him back in hosp cage. He then sat there shaking , then as he moved around it was like he had a fit or something. He was thrown side to side and squeaking like he was getting spasms of pain. It calmed down , but I thought his breathing seemed shallow , so I got him to an emergency vet. By time we got there he was ok. But they checked him over , and on discussion thought it might have been the extra pain meds he was given after his surgery so she recommended I stop giving that one and just stick with the original meds. I brought him home and after he had a sleep I put him back in cage. I been watching him all day , and he is fine again. He's stayed on top and been sleeping in his food hide , coming out every now and then and pottering. He ate some food and at last I've seen him drinking water. He's got his first check up tomorrow.

I hope things go OK and Bobby is better now that he is off that particular pain medication. Not a very nice thing to go through for either of you 😔 Get well soon Bobby 🙏🐾❤️

That does sound scary - poor Bobby, I'm glad he's ok now. A real fright for you though. Is he just on metacam (Loxicom)? That's well tolerated usually.

He had another little fit about 7pm. It passed quickly but scares me seeing this happen to him. He was up on top pottering around all day yesterday , and napping every so often in his food hide. Eventually , last night he went down underneath to his big hide so I thought great , he'll get some decent sleep now. He did come back up a couple times , but then seems to have stayed down there. He got up for a pee and a drink about 7 am pottered , went back down and I've not seen him since. It's now 10.15. I've booked annual leave so I can sit and watch him all day.

Oh Bobby, bless him 🥰 I do hope he has a better day today 🙏 He's so lucky to have you caring for him, you couldn't do anymore than you are. Teddy and I send lots of virtual hugs 🤗 Ness

Thank you both. He got up for a pee and a drink at 7.05 am and has stayed down in his burrow all day sleeping , which will do him good. I gave him his meds at 11 am and put him back in and he's stayed there. We going vets for his check up at 4.45 pm. X
