he’s my first ever pet /hamster so this is a bit new to me

Coco is absolutely adorable.

He is gorgeous Lovely to see photos of him. Just a tip - when you upload photos you can either leave them as the small thumbnail, or if you click oin them there's the option to "insert" and that posts them larger in your message box. But you need to make sure the cursor is on the line below your writing or the photo will split the writing (ie end up in the wrong place). Max upload size is 2mb so the file size might need shrinking. There are various ways to do this.

I had one of those and we nicknamed him 'Glamourboy'. A natural poser like your Coco and he was also a black eyed cream.
