Welcome to the forum little cutie! Has he been living in a cage with bars in the shop? Glad he's with you now, a nice home.View attachment 6192Hello members! Meet Fluffy. I got Fluffy from the pet store a few days ago. Fluffy already had no hair on his nose when I got him. Hopefully it grows back in its own time. I am learning about how to care for Fluffy. Can someone tell me what kind of hamster Fluffy is? I googled and I am still confused. Thanks so much, Donna
That's good to hear. He sounds very happy to have a safe home of his own now!@Socks Mum Fluffy was in a large fish tank with about 10 other members like him. they were younger adults because the fully grown adult mom was in another tank. It may look like the cage mates attacked him? But now he has his own home, looks like he is more chilled and relaxed now and doesnt look like he is scratching himself.
He is very active at night and sleeps all day. This is a common trait of Russian hybrids. thank you @elusive for the suggestion.
Regards,
Donna

Don't be surprised if he changes to coming out at any time if he hears you close by and gets a treat when you see him he may decide to put in an appearance@Socks Mum Fluffy was in a large fish tank with about 10 other members like him. they were younger adults because the fully grown adult mom was in another tank.
