Ha ha - I think the message is - I want to live in the house with you - most of the time!

I wonder why Lilly wants to come out only to snooze. She is a funny girl.😍

That is so adorable seeing her snoozing in that cosy hide! She is definitely living out of her cage as much as possible ha ha.

Lilly's been out for the last hour and snoozed in the hide as well. Once she starts hovering around me she wants picking up or she goes in her taxi.

I got nipped by Lilly this morning. She was on the floor and i tried to scoop her up in my hands to see if she'd let me. Well, she didn't want to get scooped up and let me know.

Lilly wanted to play but came back to me later when she wanted to sit on my hands.

I wonder if the reputation of bitey dwarfs partly stems from that. Some dwarfs are more assertive than others and communicate with their teeth.
So, if people don't understand and respect that they may get bitten and give the dwarfs a bad reputation even though it wasn't the dwarfie's fault.
I'm not saying this theory always applies but i find that there is usually a reason a hamster nips or bites.

Lilly’s boss!

I think that’s so true Beryl. If you can try & think like a hamster & figure out why they do what they do it makes life a lot easier & happier for them & us.

Albert doesn't mind me scooping him up outside his cage but he won't let me do it inside his cage. He's never bit me for trying. He just jumps out of the way.

After re arranging the snuffle box earlier, Lilly's out again and busy with a bit of stray millet.

Lilly is like a tonic. We were both laughing early morning listening to Lilly making a lot of squeaky noises. She was probably rolling around in a tube.
That is so lovely. Seeing her always makes me smile. :)

That's the third time today Lilly's out of her cage. First she foraged then she played and bit me and now she's asleep in the fluffy hide! I'm just doing my water and dry foods round with all the hamsters while she's enjoying her nap.
I saw her hoard behind the futon today and heard Clive munching from it last night. He also ate some grains Lilly had left in the fluffy hide.
It's funny how another hamster's foraged food tastes so much better.
Even though hamsters are solitary and our lot would never ever meet nose to nose, they interact in a remote sort of way.

I wonder how Lilly will react when she notices Clive ate some of her hoard.
