Jas, the hamster formally known as Jasper

Is she out of the cage there? Those carrot topped houses are great for out of cage time. None of mine have shown interest in them in the cage, but out of the cage they will sit inside and racket about for ages. Plonk hamster and hay house on the sofa and it seems to keep them occupied for ages (providing the hamster is safe on a sofa).

I'll share a little video of my first hamster Charlie with his - he was in the pet carrier at the time after I'd been sorting his cage out.

That is a beautiful picture of Jas! It is so lovely to see her.

It certainly is - she is really gorgeous! Sorry I got carried away with the hay house.

Yeah, that house is in the playpen, she likes it, but not as much as Charlie, that is such a good video and the pictures are great 😃

Your treat parcel looks amazing - do you have a link for it? I saw something similar but not sure if the ingredients were the same. Does she still chew cardboard?

She chews a lot so still this is the link I hope it works

Just do you know. She hasn't had it yet, it's still in the freezer

Okay, I admit it, I have a slight shopping problem 🤣 so this time I brought Jas a new upright wheel for her playpen, to go with the saucer. It's the trixie one I've seen on this forum quite a bit, I'll try it later when she's up🙂

I hope she does, it did seem like a popular choice.

It's a cheap and cheerful wheel and most hamsters seem to like it :) Not as cheap as it used to be though! Tell me about it. Having been unwell all this time I ended up shopping online a bit .............Not too much.

Are you feeling better?

Well I think I might be getting a bit better thank you but not quite there yet.

Jas had a clean yesterday and she has chewed the bottom of her seagrass tunnel. I think she uses it to help keep her burrows, is there something I can add under the substrate, so I don't ruin her burrows?

You could add a hemp mat? Some people use them to line cages. I am not sure if that would work for Jas. They sell them on Rodipet.
