How to post links

I've noticed a couple of people pasting links in their posts that have just come out as links like this

https://www.thehamsterforum.com/forums/

I'm guessing they are using the paperclip to add the links?

Just to let everyone know that you can just paste links directly into the body of your message and then they just "unfurl" like this

You can still use the paperclip to give the link a name (eg hamster forum link or "click here" by using the paperclip to add the link and adding text in the box underneath. Like this

Hamster forum - click here

But most of the time it's easier just to paste it into the body of the message so it unfurls

Update - apparently the links aren't unfurling even without using the paperclip. So that suggests they need to be on the next line. Don't worry I'll get to the bottom of it!
