Hello Dolly and Alby!

Is Alby from an accidental litter?
Happened to me once. I adopted a dwarf who was pregnant which was unknown to me until 8 babies surfaced!

Hi yes when I got dolly she was from a family member who sadly is breeding and she came with 2 of her brothers ( i gave them to a rescue as originally only wanted the 1 hamster) i didn't know she was pregnant until 2 weeks after I separated them when I was spot cleaning the cage and noticed 4 little ones. I immediately stopped and put mum and everything back the way they were . My other half wanted to keep him as he was the only albino. I have since given the other 3 to the rescue there dad and uncle went to.

Hello and welcome. Your hamsters have lovely names :)

It must be upsetting for you to have a family member who is breeding but at least these two little ones were lucky to find a lovely forever home.
I also have a pure white dwarf hybrid with red eyes who is currently running around on the floor.
I'm looking forward to see more of your dwarfies.

Yeah it is upsetting but I'm trying my best to educate them so they can see that what they are doing isn't right and rather stop or atleast do it ethically

People sometimes have different reasons or motivations. If your relative is serious about it then it's better to join something like the NHC (National Hamster council) as they have regional groups and they'd get advice and mentoring on breeding and where to get the hamsters from and ensure the pairings are appropriate etc. That way as well they could be a registered breeder.

Yeah I was going to suggest that to them when I next get a chance to talk to or see them

Hello Dolly & Alby, lovely to meet your hams & look forward to seeing more of them & hearing about them.
