Please help….
My daughter’s hamster escaped the night before last, she chewed her way through her cage. We found her under the kitchen units having gnawed away at the plaster behind
(She is regularly played with, has loads of activity outside her cage; have read that the eacaping is caused by under stimulation but I certainly wouldn’t have thought that was the case; I think she’s just a bit of a pickle!)
Her little front paws look really sore where I think she has been scratching
We’ve had to replace her cage, which we have done, but this morning I have noticed that she has a really ‘sour’ smell to her, and also she has a little diarrhea.
Having read a huge amount, I understand that maybe this is caused by stress.
I’m so so worried, we have only had her since April, but she has really become part of the family, and I’m terrified something maybe wrong?
Please, any wise words or help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance xx
