Hamster trick or treat

I enjoyed this thread so much yesterday. From Lovleyness's post of her "cuties", through Maz's Higgins flying on his broom - it makes me laugh every time I see it -, Tino in his pumpkin; Sock's Mum's atmospheric "Witching hour" image - they are all wonderful images and I had a very enjoyable time seeing them and the comments that flowed freely.

I don't do Halloween, but this time, I did enjoy it immensely. Thank you to you all.

Maz - Just to let you know I sent a little treat for the kitty.

Assume that’s a donation for the forum :-). Very kind thank you 😊

Thank you 😊. For a moment I was thinking cat (kitty) πŸ˜‚
By that I assume you have a cat. It quietly amuses me that people have cats and hamsters together. The breeder I had Kage from had three cats. But then, I had a budgie when I got my cat, Chhaya. That got very interesting at times!😧

Nope I don't have a cat ha ha. Cats and hamsters really don't mix. Some hamster owners do have a cat but there are quite a lot of precautions to take. It was just a momentary "kitty"? :-)

I didn't think it out when I brought Chhaya in with the budgie. Alarm bells rang when I found Chhaya in the cage with the budgie 😧

Was everything ok? It just made me think of "I tawd I taw a puddy tat" (tweety pie)
I'd dozed off on the sofa, and I heard a shuffling sound behind me. I turned round, still dozy and saw Chhaya in the cage. I got up, and still quite sleepy walked round to the cage to see the budgie perched on the top perch and Chhaya busy shuffling in the sand on the bottom, not taking any interest in the budgie.

I picked her up and took her out of the cage and put her on the floor. As far as I can remember I must have sat back down again wondering "Did that really happen?" It all seemed so surreal.

Before anyone asks or wonders, no I hadn't been drinking. I was simply tired and it was late.

Chhaya was very young at the time and I had some amusing tales to tell a group I met up with at the time about Chhaya, her antics and her ways.

In her lifetime she gave me some anxious moments, and many, many more happy times. I still look in her favourite places and "see" her sat there, sleeping there.
