Hamster recipes - add your recipes here!
As a couple of people have been asking about home made hamster treats, I thought it would be good to have a thread with anyone's recipes they have used and tried - whether for home-made treats, hammy birthday cakes or whatever.
I have a couple. One is some mini treats I made for Easter - I put the mixture in mini silicone moulds but that's not necessary, you could just make small dollops on a tray. It's also gluten free.
Hamster treats
It’s 2 tablespoons of oats
2 teasooons pumpkin seeds
A level tablespoon broken walnut pieces
Half a finely grated apple
1 egg beaten.
If wanting it without fruit I guess you could use grated vegetables instead or just leave it out.
Cooked them at 170 degrees fan for about 20 minutes

Hamster Birthday cake
The other is a hamster birthday cake - it's more of a scone/cake but it does fluff up and doesn't use any raising agent. If you want it gluten free, just substitute the flour for potato flour or similar. Video below
