I got the chance to weigh Grommit tonight. He is 157 grams and he's not 20 weeks old.So that's the next thing when he's out of the cageIf you have flat digital scales it's very easy. Just put those on a large book on the floor. Put a tiny piece of cheese or cucumber in the middle then zero the scales. They usually just walk on to get the food and sit there eating it, then you can read the scales. They can vary in size a lot. Some can be as low as 120g - some 260g!

He's a good average weight He might still grow a bit. Technically they are supposed to be fully grown by 3 to 4 months, which he is now, but they do sometimes keep growing a bit up to about 9 months so he may gain a bit more or may stay the same.
The main thing is to weigh them reasonably regularly especially as they get older, and check the weight remains similar. Although if they lose weight you can usually tell as they get thinner.

I would use it in Grommits playpen rather then his cage. Hamsters like to chew fabric. I bet he will have lots of fun with it in his playpen.
