We bought it from vinted. I think because it was preloved it didn't smell right - so he had a wee in it, then he ran around in it. Then he needed a wash

He's such a sweet heart. I hope he's happy, I feel like he is. I love chatting to him, I'm really getting to know him. I love that when I'm watching he comes out the wheel, runs once round it and back inside for another run

Great video of Grommit our Ham used to do a little ’spray’ around his wheel. He didn’t do it all the time, but if I wiped it he’d do it again.
Grommit is definitely having fun in there and has the sweetest little face when he looks out.
I also ditto the others re time out of the cage. It’s ok to not do this every night and have an evening off. When I did this, I would feed a little earlier than usual so he wasn’t up and looking to come out and then leave the lights low in the room our enclosure was in and I think he just kinda knew we weren’t about and would do his own thing. Sometimes though, he’d be up super early the following night sitting by the door as if to say I missed my out time last night, but not tonight

We always put the cucumber in around 9pm. It's the only thing that gets his attention. I we dont put it in, he doesn't come out.
We always have the tv on and the lamp, but unless I talk to him constantly while I put the cucumber in he doesn't surface.
And the next night would be the same routine. He loves being out, but he still has to be persuaded

He loves out time, still have to wake him. We didnt wake him last night -so we didn't see him..

Wow, Grommit is looking so much more confident now! It is wonderful to see. I felt he looked at your sofa and considered trying to jump onto it.

The carrot cottage is great, I have two now and think when the new one is nibbled bare I will get another one. I will probably end up with drawer full of carrot cottages
