We’ve had a pedometer on Chan’s wheel for a long time. His best night was 12295 revolutions, which calculates to 12.8 km. He’s older now, and doesn’t even get to 2000 revolutions anymore. 😞

Now we have pedometers on the younger hamsters; Dust Bunny the Syrian and Peanut the Roborovski. Peanut never stops moving all night (Robos have a LOT of energy) but Bunny just sort of waddles around in no hurry, so we weren’t expecting much. Here are pics of last night’s results. 😳

Peanut can do the London Marathon in a night quite casually. What amazing little animals hamsters are 🥰 Even 8 km is quite a bit more than the average for a cat or dog. Lovely Chan, yes, they slow down quite a bit in old age but still enjoy a spin on their wheel ❤️

Wow - Peanut ran so much! That's robos for you :-) It must be nice having pedometers for all of them. Do you think they ever race? I swear two of my hamsters were in competition :ROFLMAO:
