I’ve used quite a few of the different yarns they do, and have found them all to be good 👍

I usually order from Wool Warehouse. They often have a sale on Drops yarns, so worth watching out for.

Hibernation time:
Starting a new cross stitch, lady with a fan 🪭
Knitting a practical arm warmer (if it fits) (excuse the row of "seed stitch" and the lacy bit 😄)

An arm warmer sounds good! Is that like sleeves?

Yes, I thought it could go under my cardigan on the way to work and then I can take it off once I've arrived 😄

I used to have something similar - it was sleeves attached at the back :-)

I've finished one sleeve. Here it is, with the ribbed cuff discretely turned back to hide the yarn overs (holes) and the seam underneath ☺️

Looks great - you could set a new fashion trend as well :-) Knit them in all different colours - the equivalent of leg warmers :)

I’ve made this bright trio of cowl, hat and mitts with leftover yarn from another project to brighten up dull wintry days 🧶 ❄️

I think the last proper thing I knitted was this giant Christmas sock/stocking over 10 years ago :-) We then moved house and life got hectic for a number of years. It was 100% merino wool. I think I adapted an online Christmas stocking pattern with a sock pattern and added my own bits as well. It was great when stepson was little as it stretched and had lots of interesting bulges once filled :-) Still have it in the Christmas box but it does have a couple of holes in now!
