Crafts - what you do while waiting for your hamster to get out of bed 😉

That's very cool, I like the little alien - who somehow manages to look grumpy. Did you design it yourself?

Thank you ❤️ I found it for free on the DMC web site. DMC manufacture embroidery thread and sell kits, but they also have some patterns you can download if you register with them. They have patterns for needle point projects and embroidery as well.

It's lovely :-) I am hopeless at any kind of sewing or cross stitch somehow!

The only creative thing I've done recently is this :ROFLMAO:

And installing Windows on an old laptop - I find that quite creative - tweaking everything when setting it up from scratch and making sure everything works.

I love the colour of the item you’re knitting 😊.

Well it's still a bit "hands on" :-) For a number of years I have been planning to get out my knitting - but life just didn't seem to fit in with it!

I envy people who can lose themselves in knitting. I can't keep track of where I am and also am too clumsy to maintain an even tension 🙁

I used to be a knit-a-holic when I was younger! Things changed - wool got very expensive and life got more hectic. Then there was a craze for knitting for a while with certain famous brands and it seemed everyone was doing it. I started again about 12 years ago for a project, and did quite a lot - my favourite thing was a giant sock as a Christmas stocking :-) Then we moved house and well - life just changed! I just need to get the knitting bag out really and start something! But there is always something else needs doing.

Yes, I get quite frustrated when I can't get my half hour of stitching in. But if I rush I lose my place and make mistakes, so easy does it 😄🧶

I get withdrawal symptoms if I can’t knit 🧶
And I used to be exactly like that! But it was a long time ago and I then I didn't have time to feel like that (but I did still miss it and want a quiet life!). And then I started writing a lot. These days I get withdrawal symptoms if I don't write something regularly :-) So creativity comes out in different ways sometimes.

Yes, I write quite a few poems too.

I remember! I think our creative side always comes out in something. I was very much into photography for a number of years - then life got busy again and everything went digital and I like my old camera which wasn't digital, so I gradually stopped doing it and started writing :-) However due to having to earn a living, I didn't get much time for writing! But did seem to need to write something every day to feel right! Even if it was just a diary.

Yes, I haven’t been out and about with my camera properly for a while, but a local nature reserve is holding a photography competition for a calendar, so I’m inspired to get it out and go out and about.
