We had the pleasure and joy of Clive's company for 1.5 years.
He changed from a 3 months old nervous wreck into a confident and funny hamster who had a lot to say for himself and a lot to do.
Clive loved to freeroam and always wanted to be the first one out. He was also jealous and didn't like me talking to other hamsters.

He had an illness that eventually took hold and Clive deteriorated rapidly over the last few days. Today we helped him on his way.

When i said my good byes, he looked at me then stuck his head into the bedding and stayed like that till the vet took him away.
I'm sure that Clive had had enough of this life because it wasn't fun anymore and he was ready to make his exit.

I'll miss him but i'm also relieved that he is at peace now.

Beautiful Clive will be missed by so many. I loved hearing all about him and seeing his pictures. I really am so very sorry for your loss. It is comforting to know he is now at peace but I know you will miss him so much. I am thinking of you and sending you a virtual hug.

When I joined this forum the first photo I saw of Clive I thought he looked like a mini grizzly bear. I remember saying "don't tell Albert but I love Clive". Mini Bear Clive will be deeply missed. I hope all the hamsters at the rainbow bridge are ready for some poop throwing and squawking. 💕

Run free little bear Clive. You came to a wonderful home and were loved and cared for all of your life there. A little character that was so endearing and will be much missed at home and here too 🌈

Clive was a very special little character of a ham, he had such a good life with you & so much love, I know you will miss him very much & he’ll be missed here too.
Run free & play well at the bridge sweet Clive 🌈❤️

Such a handsome hamster Clive 💙 I always enjoyed reading about your antics, especially the poop throwing. You had such a strong personality and will be so dearly missed at home and by the members here. Run free at the rainbow bridge 🌈🌈 thinking of you Beryl and sending hugs.

Clive had such a great personality and it was so good to hear about all his special tricks, especially his talent in throwing. He had such a wonderful life and will be missed.
Thinking of you at this time.

Clive will be missed by all I am sure, he was a big presence on here. He was a real personality. Big Hugs to you. 🫂 Play well over the Rainbow Bridge Clive.

I'm so sorry for your loss. All your hamsters have such rich lives and personalities and I will miss hearing about Clive's antics.

Feeling emotional but good to hear you knew just what was the right thing to do at the right time for Clive sending hugs

Thank you all for your comforting words.

We will bury Clive this morning in the garden next to Jack.

Rest in peace Clive under the fuchsia next to Jack under the sphere.

Those two always wanted what the other was sniffing at so i often grabbed one in each hand and swapped them over across the devider. I suppose i'd better swap the fuchsia with the sphere from time to time to keep them happy.

That’s lovely that they’re together there & a lovely setting for Clive.
It made me smile when you said about swapping the fuchsia & sphere over for them, I hope that as the sadness eases with time it will bring you smiles & happy memories too.

Thats lovely I would do that too😍

Beautiful final resting place for Clive, under a fuchsia and next to Jack so they can keep in touch is lovely

It looks lovely. I think the swapping over sounds an idea too :-)

Lovely resting place for Clive the swapping of the fushia and sphere from time to time sounds a nice idea 💙

I kept talking to Clive in my Clive voice when i buried him and sometimes i talk to the hamsters when i put the washing on the line.

The neighbours must think i'm a mad old bat, not that i'd care what anybody else thinks.
