Hello All!
Starting this thread to introduce Chai! He is a male long haired syrian and he is about a year old. He was born in September of last year and he is the farthest I have ever travelled to pick up a pet!

His home is in a detolf with lots of wood and bedding! He likes strawberry treats, various vegetables, and yogurt. He is very shy but still lets me pet him and also likes to come out to say hello when I am nearby his enclosure.

Very nice to meet you all!!

Hello and welcome :-). What a gorgeous hamster! I love his name as well. How far did you have to travel to get him?

Hello and welcome :). What a gorgeous hamster! I love his name as well. How far did you have to travel to get him?
Thank you!! The rest of him is so long and fluffy! luckily he grooms himself well.
I lived in Michigan before moving to the PNW so I drove 4+ hours to a suburb outside Chicago, IL!

Longest I travelled to get a hamster was about 3 hours by train :)

It’s fairly late in the evening in the U.K. but I’m sure more people will be along to welcome you in the morning :-). And some US members tonight at some point!

Hello & welcome to the forum 😊
Chai really is very handsome ham! What an adorable face, look forward to hearing more about him.

Awesome, you were in my part of the woods! Did you get it from one of the breeders here? I know of 3 Syrian ones, no love for dwarfs sadly :(
