Can old chew sticks be reused?

I have some apple and hazel sticks that I used to stick seeds to with flour and water paste laying around Topaç's cage. Whenever I put them in his cage with fresh seeds stuck to them, he would chew the seeds off of the sticks, but leave the dried paste. I have used them a few times now. Can I reuse them or should they be discarded? I have new sticks at home that I have bought.

I would think you could just wash the paste off and re-use them yes :-) Or even re-use them without washing the paste off. You can do a similar thing with the cone shaped bits from cardboard egg boxes as well - just stick seeds to the cardboard cone.

Thanks. I will try that. My main concern was whether the paste would go bad with time.
