Remember remember - it's fireworks and bonfire night tomorrow :-). Having the TV on may disguise any bangs going off outside. Or possibly playing calming music if a hamster is affected. And curtains closed helps.

Any other tips?

Only one was scared here and that was Clive. He wouldn't come out of his house till late but he was near his door because i saw his nose.
Late evening he wanted out so i sat on the floor with him. He run behind me like a little kid when he heard a bang and didn't go on the wheels as he normally does.
He plucked up enough courage to empty the treats bowl but didn't stay out for long.

Clive is just so sweet. It is lovely the way he gets so much comfort from you.

Orko did not seem the slightest bit bothered by the fireworks. Then again he likes storms.

Aw. It was totally silent here! Really strange. Usually there are a few fireworks going off locally or we can hear or see some of an official display from nearby town. But it was just totally quiet! There had been the occasional firework around Halloween though.

Raffy however stopped in his tracks at the sound of the clink of a teaspoon in a mug in the kitchen! He always looks at me as if to say - it’s not you, you’re here - is it a burglar or something?!

I noticed he did that in the video you posted. How cute.

I hate to think how he'd have reacted to big noises if he reacts to the clink of a teaspoon in a different room! He does that though - he doesn't seem bothered about noise generally (particularly the TV or people doing things in the room) but if it comes from the next room he sits up and goes still. He does that when the back door closes too. I just tell him it's fine, it's just OH in the kitchen and he stares into the distance and ignores me, listening intently!

What a cute little thing to do. I can picture him doing that.

You saw him doing it lol! Just like on that video. He sort of freezes and listens for a while. I was wondering if it was the pitch of the noise but it can't be as the back door closing is not that kind of pitch. Maybe he is thinking - hey there is another world out there, beyond this room!

I don't know what it is when they hear a sound that makes them freeze. I feeling of danger maybe? But it seems so strange when there are so many noises in the same room!
