I was finally able to get some reasonably decent photos of Blossom when she came out to play in her play box this evening We have had her for 7 weeks, so she is now around 17 weeks old. She is mild mannered, sweet little Blossom by day, but turns into The Tornado when darkness falls lol. Her super power is being able to shred an egg box in 60 seconds lol. NB (these are wood shavings, but getting Kaytee bedding this week )

I cooked wholemeal pasta for dinner today so saved a piece for Little Miss Blossom Here she is sitting in her wheel munching it straight away (didn't pouch it!), then looking around for more

My husband will hopefully be picking the Kaytee up tomorrow (the first order I placed never arrived so I had to reorder!) so I will be able to add the platforms and deep bedding this week…looking forward to seeing how she gets in with it!

I haven’t seen a hamster that colour before.

She looks like a chocolate colour mixed with something eise . Maybe with tortoiseshell. There is actually a pure bred chocolate colour.

Yes, she seems to be a blend of chocolate and golden. Tortoiseshell is probably a good description of her colouring.

Hello Miss Blossom. What a cutie you are! Glad she's settling in well.

My last female Syrian, Mania, would've out done Blossom, even during her last days. Egg boxes were never enough. She resorted to destroying the wooden multi chamber hide and the base of the cage. You'll be surprised how much damage they can do in the space of a minute or two!
