Best toilet paper 2023?

Thanks - I'll see if it's available online.

Lidl don't sell online unfortunately and there isn't one near us. I just did my online Sainsbury order tonight though and checked through all of them carefully and have ordered some called House 247. Says it's 2 ply and it doesn't say quilted, embossed, or wave patterns! It's selling point apparently is they are larger rolls and last longer. I'll report back!

I use Naked sprout it’s safe, sustainable & a pretty good price but you do have to buy quite a few rolls & online as I don’t think it’s available in any shops.
It tears into strips easily & the hams eeem quite happy with it.
That's good to know too. I looked them up and it is quite expensive. There was another bamboo one called bored panda? But that said 3 ply. Is the naked sprout one 2 ply?

Ok so I got the House 247 toilet roll brand from Sainsburys last time. Just right. They're 2 ply, quite thin, no quilting etc. It's a pack of 4 so they are strictly for the hamsters! I'll keep getting the multipack of 9 for the humans and then I don't care what they're like. This must be about the fourth brand I've ordered recently with the online shopping - to find something suitable! I used to use the Sainsbury's own brand ones but they've changed them.

Sad to say I can't recommend the House 247 toilet rolls for hamsters. I got a roll out and I think they might use glue. Down the edges is a kind of stuck together part and there's also a line of that down the middle too (why?!). So - the hunt continues! The humans will have to use it. Whatever happened to "bog standard" toilet paper?!

You can still get bog standard paper at Aldi, Lidl, b&m and home bargains. And really cheap paper in places like Poundstretcher.

You could give naked sprout a go & do a bit for climate & wild life while you’re at it!
They do a trial pack if you’re not sure.
As well as all the good eco friendly things about it & being totally safe for hams I really like having a big box delivered so I only have to think about running out of toilet roll a couple of times a year!

I was thinking about that. Does it dissolve in water as well as thin toilet paper? I guess it does or you wouldn't be using it! I'd only want enough for the hamsters though :). Also we have a septic tank so would need to be careful what would be suitable for that.

Yes it does dissolve really easily so no problems there, if you only want it for the hamsters then a box would last you forever, you might even like it for the rest of you!

Thanks Beryl - I don't have any of those shops in the area unfortunately and don't want to drive long distances just to get toilet roll ha ha. Tend to rely on supermarket deliveries.

Oh i see. Sorry, i forgot about that.

No problem - it's useful to know. You would think either Tesco or Sainsbury would have something though (the two that deliver in this area).
