I never know when she makes her noises and she's very fast.
She makes a noise when she rolls in her tube, when she's in her house sometimes or when i disturbed her by mistake but most dwarfs screech when disturbed.
She sounds so amazing. It must be so much fun to have her with you.

I have one of Nellie, one of Gertie's babies before she was adopted. Thing is that i talk too much to the hamsters but you should hear Nellie screech at me.

That noise would actually scare me! It sounds like an angry insect. I love your voice. :)

Haha, angry insect is a good decription.
I jumped the very first time a dwarf screeched at me very loudly. It was a foster dwarf i woke up by mistake and he wasn't happy.

I jumped just watching the video! I showed my partner and he said Nellie sounds like electricity. (His tech minded brain)

My volume isn't very good - I heard a hiss!

I should record Clive when he starts but he's been a lot more relaxed and quieter lately.

Bernard just run up inside my sleeve! I think he likes my fleece top.

Aw! I had a robo run up my trouser leg once! I think he thought it was just a tunnel. I was sitting in the playpen at the time. Bernard sounds great fun to handle. I am sure he is getting to know you. Pip has been awol again - since that time he wanted to come out recently.

Yes, i think you're right. Bernard must have thought it's a tunnel as well.

He was climbing around on me for a while which is not something i'm used to with a Robo.

I'm thinking of getting him a hammock like Pip has. Bernard seems to like fleecy fabric and he's not a chewer.

Aw - he is so cute. I sense you and Bernard are quite close already! I'm sure he liked the fleece as well and didn't just see it as a tunnel.

I wouldn't normally put a fleece hammock in a cage (even though Pip doesn't chew). It was because the Plaza is so tall and it was intended to be right up against the top bars (which it more or less is) to partly make it darker and cosier underneath, and partly so he couldn't get onto the roof bars. I never expected he would get up there! It was a bit worrying when I found he could get up there, but he can't fall out of it as it fits the full width of the cage and no gaps. One side is over his shelf just below - not a big drop. The other side is over his egg box hammock (which is how he gets up there - uses the egg box hammock as a step up).

The only other time I've used it was for the same reason but with a very old hamster with no levels (ie to add some darkness and just in case they happened to climb the bars, so they couldn't monkey bar across the top).

So it can be risky - unless you know your hamster doesn't chew.

Ah right. Maybe better to stick to fabric in the playground only for now.

This may sound strange but i need to get used to a Robo i can handle. It's all a bit alien at the moment. I have no idea if this will continue either. I'm happy with whatever Bernard feels comfortable with.

I think I do know what you mean. It's very different from handling a Syrian.

He looks so cute in that tunnel 😍

I don’t think that sounds weird at all just getting used to the unexpected & a bit of a new experience.

Bernard is still up and i put my hand flat in his tank with some seeds.
He sniffed me and then climbed on my hand to get the seeds.

Aww little Bernard is just so friendly! He really is so sweet and so playful.
