I've copied the link but where is the paste button?
Reason i wanted to show this video of Bernard running is because a friend thinks he may have splayed back legs.
I mentioned it to her because i thought his legs look odd.

I can see it! I see what you mean about his legs. They seem to move a little differently. He moves so fast though!

Hmm. Don't know why it's so noisy.
Question is: does he have odd back legs? Not that it matters because they are working fine.

Yes. I didn't notice it when he runs around in his tank but noticed it while running on the floor. A friend had a dwarf hamster with splayed legs but his mobility was affected.

As he is so tiny, could it be did not have a good diet and he has developed this walk as a result of weak bones?

No idea of his history or age but that would be a possibility. He's a bit of an odd shape. Top heavy with an almost underdeveloped looking bottom half.
Here's him on the big saucer to show what i mean, if it works.

He looks like a tiny wind up toy! He can move about well. If he was kept in a tiny cage maybe his little body didnt get the chance to develop.

I thought his odd legs may be a birth defect or maybe he is a runt.
A lot of hamsters live in tiny cages but you may be right.

I think he may be the runt of the litter. Luckily he has a healthy diet and can exercise now. It really amazes me how confident he is especially considering his past. He is so delightful.

Oh yes, its like the little back legs dont move with the front ones.

Bernard is in the playground again. He loves the flying saucers and managed to get the big one going by himself.

I carried him upstairs in the ball and dropped him onto my lap then scooped him up in my hands, stroked him a couple of times and put him on the floor.
I was very surprised that i was able to stroke him.

He spents most of his time on the saucers but also runs around or stops for a snack from food in his pouches and has a quick wash.

When he's had enough he stops playing and jumps up the walls, looking for a way home i think and that's when i put him back in his tank.

Aww he is so sweet! How cute he let you stroke him. He is very friendly. He seems to find everything fun.

He's pretty much the opposite of how the people i bought him from described him.

They have no clue about hamsters. They must have expected him to act like a different animal.
That is often the case.

I'm not sure that Bernard can squeak properly. He made a low sound when i caught him but he sounded like a zip.

Oh that sounds so cute. Orko did not make any sounds when I caught him.

I think all the vocal ones have found their way here. Lilly is really funny with her range of vocals.
It would be great if you could video Lilly so we could hear her little noises. :)

I never know when she makes her noises and she's very fast.
She makes a noise when she rolls in her tube, when she's in her house sometimes or when i disturbed her by mistake but most dwarfs screech when disturbed.
