Bats

I know bats are an endangered species, and maybe some of them are even quite cute, but they are not so cute when whizzing around in a bedroom! I had that experience the other night! Been sleeping with the window open in the warm weather and next thing a bat was whizzing around the room and they are fast! So they are small and harmless but still a bit scary! OH caught it with a fishing net and took it outside again. 20 minutes later, another bat in the bedroom! I am still not sure if it was the same bat that came back in or a different one! Also caught in the fishing net and taken outside. They are quite little things but when they are flying they look pretty big!

Hopefully the bat has decided to stay outside I wonder if Higgins can hear their ultrasound

Well done, catching it in a fishing net was a great idea, it wouldn't hurt the bat I'd keep it to hand for a while just in case another one comes in. Ness

Thank you. Yes the fishing net lives in the bedroom at the moment! It's been used quite a lot this summer as so many bugs came in at night with the window open and had a few big moths to catch as well!

Reminded me to not throw things away that don't get used any more - they sometimes come in handy! It's a child's fishing net on a stick for catching tadpoles etc.

It now lives in the corner of the bedroom, near the door Next to the upstairs spider catcher! (We have one downstairs as well)
