This thread is for baby food options. Eg for an older hamster needing softened food or for a hamster on medication (using baby food to put the medication in).

This list will probably change over time and need updating and editing now and then as things stop being available or new things become available.

Ingredients wise, they shouldn't contain the following:

Onions
Garlic
Spices
Pepper
Tomato
Citrus fruits/lemon juice

Dairy and cheesy ones less preferable but probably fine occasionally

Age four months baby foods tend to not contain these ingredients. Some age six months ones are ok.

The ones below don't contain any of the ingredients listed above and are fine - many of them tried and tested!:

Hipp Organic Baby food jars:

Sweet Squash and Chicken 6+ months
Carrots, peas and cauliflower 4+ months
Apples and Pears (no lemon juice) 4+ months
Carrots and Peas 4+ months

Cow and Gate Baby food jars:

Chicken Sunday Lunch
Tasty Pumpkin and Chicken

Heinz by Nature Baby food jars:

Peas and Spinach
Sweet potato puree
Organic carrots puree
Peas puree
Beef and carrot in rice puree
Chickpea and pumpkin puree
Green beans and sweetcorn puree

Ellas Kitchen Organic Baby Food Pouches

Most of their baby food pouches contain a dash of lemon juice. The ones below don't contain lemon juice

Sweet Potatoes, Sweet Potatoes
Carrots, carrots, carrots
Parsnips, parsnips, parsnips
Peas, broccoli and Potato
Sweetcorn, sweetcorn, sweetcorn

Dried packs to make up:

Strawberry and Raspberry porridge with crispy bits
