Here's Ares current set up. He's in a zoozone 2 and uses every inch of it. This is his 'winter' themed cage and it probably won't change much until March. I have a large DIY tunnel to add in but I haven't finish it yet.

I am interested to know if it's true that the lid can be awkward to open and close. I've heard people mention that, but it would be good to know if this is something you develop a knack for or get used to. Because it's a lot cheaper than the similar maxi duna multy.

Yes it's the zoozone 2 (large). Both my previous and current robo love it.

Opening/closing the lid isn't too bad. I've meshed it in a way that makes it harder to open. Other people haven't had the same problem, probably because they properly measured the mesh. You develop a knack for it. For me there's a slide then lift type motion for opening, and the opposite for closing. It's something I don't think about now if I'm honest.
