I did see a few flying ants one day at the end of June which was odd.

I think they maybe do hatch at different times in different parts of the country perhaps.

Wow, what fabulous photos and videos Daisy. They really are busy little workers and I never realised the queen was so much larger. It’ll be interesting to see how they use the burrowing sand at the back. Look forward to hearing more about them as they grow as a colony.
