Albert has finally checked out hubby's hair cut and he wasn't happy. Albert decided to chew hubby's new hoodie because there was no hair to play with. Luckily Albert hasn't made a hole. I gave Albert a piece of seeded bread toast to cheer him up. Twice in one day hubby has disappointed Albert

Albert came out for a good runaround last night. He's forgiven my hubby and used him as a climbing frame Albert had lots of cuddles from me. It's so lovely he likes cuddles. Not from hubby though

When the delivery driver knocked on the door I jumped out of my armchair and Albert popped his head up out of his dig box. Albert had bed hair and looked very sleepy. I think he'd fell to sleep in his dig box. The driver must have wondered what I was laughing at. Albert slowly walked back to house.

I am sure Albert will like his new bottle.

Aw - I just pictured it too. If Mum jumps I need to wake up and check she's ok Or - is that delivery for me and what are they doing coming in the middle of the hamster night?

I hope the bottle works ok! After everything I said It's ridiculous how much more they cost now. They used to be £1.50 before the pandemic.

I had no idea Albert was in his dig box. He does go right down to the bottom. I did wonder earlier where he was because the hole to his house was open. He normally blocks it behind himself.

He clearly was having fun in there then Maybe it wasn't quite his bedtime!

I love Albert when he has bed hair. It always makes laugh.

Albert has decided to pee on his wheel. Is this normal? I've given it a clean and put it back in his cage. Is it okay to clean the wheel every day or will it stress him out?

Most hamsters pee on their wheel. It is nothing to worry about. You have no choice but to clean it if there is pee on it.

Aw naughty Albert. It is very common for hamsters to pee in their wheels. Some don't but most do. I think people vary as to how they manage it and it also maybe depends on the type of wheel. I haven't got a hamster that pees in the wheel at the moment! But I found it fine to leave it for a day or two and then give it a wipe with a damp cloth. And then give it a proper clean maybe after doing that a few times. If it had a full clean every day it might cause stress, but there's a balance too as you don't want a stinky wheel too long.

I had one hamster who refused to use his wheel if it had been cleaned - eventually he would be tempted back into it by putting a few treats in it. Obviously it might depend on how bad it is as to how often you decide to clean it. A wipe out isn't a complete clean but removes most of it.
