The moths are such a pest, but just unfortunate. Sounds like you’ve reacted quickly before it spread.

I used to freeze all food, sprays and any new enclosure items for a week minimum. If you need some dry food I would just take a little out at a time to defrost before feeding but then I’d leave the rest in the freezer for the week. Then when you take it out just store in air tight containers.

Great to hear Tsang Shu is back in her enclosure and merrily making new tunnels 🙂

Sorry to hear this happened, must have been a pain to deal with. Glad she's already making herself at home again, hopefully you got them all

The triangle traps really worked. I was outraged when I saw larvae crawling like caterpillars up the wall. I personally murdered each larva that I saw. One of the traps already caught a moth.

Remember, I bagged up all of bedding and the sand and tossed it. From a clean terrarium I built something similar to what 倉鼠 had before.

Just in time to show her off during the Christmas season.

We are leaving for South Carolina on December 26. My wife and I will put the dogs in the kennel (They like it there) and then be gone a week.

I purchased a Long Term Hamster Feeder (photo) and although her water dish might run dry from evaporation, she will still have her water bottle. I can watch her from South Carolina with my Hamster Cam.

Do you have anyone who could come in & check on her & do her food & water Robert?
Her water will be very stale after a few days & water bottles can stop working, she really does need fresh water every day.
I haven’t seen those long term hamster feeders, I hope they work ok & food doesn’t get stuck, it would probably work with small seeds.

There are piles of seeds in her black tray.
I will place a larger water dish in her cage.
My brother in law has a key to our house.

Vacations are becoming difficult as we get on in years. We used to flit around, doing this, looking at that. Now I walk with a cane. We have fun but at a different pace.

I thought her wheel got stuck but as I was writing a text to my brother in law, Tsang Shu jumped in the wheel and ran like there were a fire. It wasn't stuck.

I have thought that many times. Its like they cannot move it but maybe they are just playing.🤣

We went to a wildlife refuge and found this huge dinosaur wading in the water. This monster could easily have Tsang Shu for a snack.

Great Blue Heron (Ardea herodias)

A hungry heron must be a scary creature. They are beautiful in flight though
