I recently ordered some of the Rodipet small seed mix and saw these and ordered some as well - as an extra special treat for some point. However I've noticed on the ingredients it mentions paprika! Rodipet are known for safe hamster products and ingredients, but paprika is a spice which seems to be a discrepancy. Thoughts?

I haven't opened the box they came in yet but as all three look different I'm just wondering if only one of them has the paprika in.

Paprika is in whimzess too so I guess it must be safe. Unless I bought the wrong whimzees!

I guess it must be a very tiny amount - it's on the end of the list. Good point about the whimzees too!

I read elsewhere that all types of Whimzees are fine and safe and so that small amount isn't an issue. It's not one of the strongest spices I guess.

Do your whimzess contain paprika too?

All red whimzees do I believe and they are considered to be fine. On whimzees it says "Paprika extract".

Paprika is usually very mild & quite close to sweet red peppers so I don’t see any reason tiny amounts would be a problem.

Ok - just learned something I didn't know before. Paprika can mean red pepper sometimes. Paprika is a spice made from ground red peppers. In which case it should be fine. It's certainly a very mild one.
