When will it stop raining?!

Oh dear- sounds like we had it a while back. Thankful that its swung round and been unusually dry here with us for weeks now!

Field is gloriously dry so a lovely break from the mud for the horses. Threat of snow incoming though...

So glad that the days are starting to stretch again now- wasn't pitch black when I left work this week. 🥳

That's true, it's getting lighter as well. It's just been grey and wet here for seemingly weeks! Amazon left a parcel outdoors one day and it was completely ruined! They replaced it though.

It would be nice to have a while without rain it we used to say up North that if we "didn't go out when it rained we would never go out at all" lol it doesn't seem so bad all the way down here, although it does rain a lot in Wales lol

True! You need to keep going out anyway. We used to say "it's good for the garden" :ROFLMAO:

Whenever I end up talking about the weather people will say they can't wait for spring. But spring is known for its rain! I suppose at least it'll be warmer and lighter by then, if not drier.

It certainly is wet in spring a lot! But maybe lighter nights and less fog help! Plus seeing things blooming.

Are we talking about the British countryside here? We haven't been hit with inordinate rain here, so this is just making me think of being in the beautiful British countryside, even in the rain. A perspective completely based on film and not actual experience.

lol, they probably don’t show the copious amounts of mud, or the massive potholes on the roads caused by all the rain 😏

Yes indeed. February in my part of the Uk has been grey semi fog for ages - damp and raining a lot. Now rain with sunshine or bright skies I don’t mind 😊. And yes summer rain is lovely as long as it’s not cold. You can smell the ozone on a walk. February weather is often a bit grim.

Well, wish me luck guys, they have mentioned more snow here ,and I want to go out ,it's my Birthday tomorrow.

Yep - he arrived the day before Valentine's day. So Tino is short for Valentino.

We're quite lucky being rural and high up. Potholes not a big issue like they are in towns, (not many at all) and the river and waterfalls look quite spectacular after heavy rain - unless the town starts to flood then it's not fun!

Incidentally, they are called potholes, apparently - dating back to the roman empire when potters who couldn't afford clay, stole from roads built on a layer of clay. So they could make pots!
