Updated Enclosure

Hello everyone! I have been trying to update Dango's enclosure little by little. I added another hide, a fun grassy tube, a swing and some sprays. What do you all think? I'd love some suggestions!

I think it looks amazing! I would not use the swing myself as I would worry about a nail getting caught but everything else is beautiful.

Thank you so so much!! I didn't think about his nails getting caught...that's a good point...maybe I'll replace it with something else? I'd love to find another enriching item to put in its place!

That really does look great for Dango.
Agree about the swing though, I don’t think those sorts of toys are safe & don’t really see any benefit for the hamster, maybe just put another hide up there?

Oh gosh...I had no idea that swings were bad...I am so sorry! I'm certainly going to get rid of it. I never want Dango to get hurt!

Don’t worry, it’s more a precaution than anything & we’ve all made mistakes along the way!

It looks fab, love it but agree about the swing. Anything with chains could trap a tiny toe. A coconut hide is popular with many hamsters.

It looks fantastic - he will love it. There is nothing wrong with having a swing exactly - it is mainly what the swing is attached with - it appears to have chains? It's usually best not to use anything with chains in case nails get caught. But really that is for toys hanging from a height so they don't end up hanging by a leg from a chain. It's probably ok but maybe best to be on the safe side. Some hanging toys use sisal rope instead . As the others say, maybe better to swap it out for something else.

By the way...Dango let me pick him up and stroke him today!!! I'm so happy!
